Corrective Exercise, Fitness and Personal Training
In our bodies we have muscles that are tight and overactive. We also have weak and underactive muscles. Through Corrective Exercise we release and elongate the overactive muscles. And strengthen the weak and underactive muscles. Corrective Exercise is also designed to improve posture and correct body dysfunctions.
Lower back pain for instance which is a huge cause of pain among people is usually caused by poor posture. With poor posture we put stress on our lower back. We need to improve our posture and strengthen our back by having a strong transverse abdominus which is a muscle that supports are back. With forward head posture we are putting pressure on our cervical spine which can cause headaches and other issues. These are some of the issues corrective exercise addresses.
Mobility, Strength Training, Cardio and Diet is the foundation to improved health. When we Strength Train our body will burn calories during and after we workout. With cardio we burn calories when we workout. Our metabolism slows down as we get older and building muscle gets harder. Strength Training is how we build muscle, boost our metabolism and help support our body.
I teach my clients whole body mobility through myofascial release and static stretching. How to use their body so they can exercise and activate their muscles. And how to exercise correctly with proper form so they exercise safely and correctly. Additional benefits are being more pain free with more energy and greater overall health.
